Excellent microwave. July 27, 2007 Dr. Ian Montgomery (Johnstone, Renfrewshire United Kingdom) 95 out of 95 found this review helpful
I disagree with an earlier review regarding quality control and manufacture. In my opinion, having closely examined similarly priced competitors, this is a well made microwave oven. While reasonably compact, it is more than adequate for the majority of household needs. Why pay for facilities you never use, it is, after all, an adjuct to a cooker. I am more than satisfied with this microwave oven.

I agree with the previous reviewer Dr. Montgomery that this is a well made microwave and although smaller than the one it has replaced it fulfills all our needs. What a bargain at this price - you could hardly buy any cheaper for a well branded item such as this. We are well satisfied. We particularly like the clarity of the display/clock.
Excellent value for money August 24, 2008 M. Schwartz 16 out of 16 found this review helpful
Excellent microwave for the price. Plenty powerful. Well built. Solid door open/close. Keys are easy to use. (Timing options are hours, minutes, and 10-second increments, which is fine.) I echo an earlier review that the interior dimensions (listed there) were not as big as I'd hoped, but this still fits a large-size dinner plate with ease. My only quibble with this microwave is that I have a tiny kitchen and when the unit finishes cooking or counting down, it lets out five loud and long beeps. I wish there was a way to turn down the volume, but again, that's a minor quibble.

Still a Brilliant Microwave November 20, 2009 Marcel (Wiltshire, UK) 8 out of 8 found this review helpful
Update: I've owned this microwave for about 6 months and used it regularly; I've had no reliability issues what-so-ever, no problem with the turn-table or any other aspects of this excellent microwave. I stand-by what I said previously...
The Panasonic NN-E255W is a compact microwave with clean lines and simple controls. An 800W, E rated unit it does what a microwave should and pretty quickly. The highlight of the unit is probably the simple controls; they're obvious and useful, so the manual can stay in the cupboard (where it belongs!) You can quickly set manual time periods in increments of 10 mins, 1 min, or 10 secs, if you know how long you need, but if not then the Auto Weight Menu gives some firm microwave favourites as options, such as:
Reheat: Curry; Chinese; or Pasta
Cook: Jacket Potatoes; Fresh Vegetables; or Fresh Fish
Defrost: Bread; Meat Items; or Meat Joints
The price and build quality balance is very good, I've cooked / re-heated a variety of things big and small and had no problems with the rotating plate or any other parts; having said that I don't use it as an oven replacement.
Still thoroughly recommended.
