I am very pleased with this purchase. Although I hate doing DIY I have to point-out that these ladders are excellent. The locking mechanism is nice and solid and really obvious when you've got them properly locked.
They're fairly light weight, and much easier to move around than conventional ladders. I did consider telescopic ladders, but I wasn't prepared to pay more than £100 for ladders, besides these have less catches/locks to potentially break.

With so many platform type ladders on the market, it was all getting rather confusing! So when I found this one for sale through Amazon I was very pleased, as it seemed to offer everything we were seeking. We were not disappointed - delivery was very quick and efficient, and the ladder was extremely well packaged, so no dents or bumps in transit! We had perhaps miscalculated slightly on the platform height.....I am 5'5 so its great for me, but husband at over 6' finds that his head hits the ceiling (and we have high Edwardian ceilings!)...but apart from that, which is not the end of the world as we can find ways round it, we are extremely pleased with our purchase and would definitely recommend it to others.

After looking for the most suitable one, I drove over to Blackpool and collected one from the depot. Very helpful, patient people over there. Even carried it out and put it in my car boot for me!
Put it together in a few minutes (stabiliser feet need attaching) and tested it with my 18 stone, no bending or shaking! It's a solid product.
I'd like to clarify one point though, the 150 kg load quoted is only for the ladder, the flat platform is rated at 120kg. Still the platform handled me without any problems.
Highly recommended, both the product and the firm!!!!

High Hedges, High Ceilings, Longitudinal repairs. It manages the lot with ease, especially since I'm rather short in height myself.
Light enough to carry and easily set up. Just remember to keep it maintained and it'll last you out.

The ladder was delivered promptly and without damage. It is as described with a good solid mechanism. It's maybe a little awkward to erect, but that's a learning curve thing I expect. In a platform mode, getting onto the platform I found difficult - but that's maybe just me. What I found really really bad were the metal platform sheets. They are rated at 120kgs (18 stone), I'm well below that, but after only 30 mins use they were bent. And when they're bent they slip along. And when that happens there's a distinct possibility of you stepping on an unsupported portion of the platform, which will then tip up and send you flying. I was very, very disappointed in these. They're also quite heavy.
Whatever you do - DON'T USE THEM.
A couple of bits of 10mm ply with locating battens underneath did the job much better... and are lighter.
So - apart from the platforms, a decent bit of kit.
BUT DON'T USE THE PLATFORMS!!!!!
